Paz Verdades M. Santos is a full professor of literature at the De La Salle University (DLSU), Manila. She has taught literature, journalism and English at the Ateneo de Naga University and DLSU for over 30 years.
Aside from numerous journal articles, Dr. Santos has published an instructional manual, The Writer’s Market in the Philippines (2001) and Hagkus: Twentieth Century Bikol Women Writers (2004). She has also co-edited an anthology of creative non-fiction, Militant but Groovy (2008), and the book Primed and Purposeful: Armed Groups and Human Security Efforts in the Philippines (2010). Her current research interests are ecology and literature, conflict and peace in literature, Bikol literature, and Southeast Asian literature.
