Sylvia Palugod is a freelance researcher and writer. She has published articles in various secular and religious magazines as a features contributor; articles and monographs on population programs as a technical writer; and editorials, features and news as editor of a religious bi-monthly publication. She authored of Toward the Abundant Life, jointly published in the Philippines in 2008 by OMF Literature, Inc., and CCT; and is co-author of Joy in the Morning: A Story of Lives Turned Around, published in 2000 by CCT.
Palugod holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of the Philippines, a Master of Science degree in Sociology from the Asian Social Institute, a Master of Theological Studies degree from the Asian Theological Seminary, and a Master in Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management. She has participated in various research projects, including The Church in the Philippines: A Research Project with Special Emphasis on Theological Education (2005, with Overseas Council International); The CCT Factor: A Study of Transformation (2004, with Center for Community Transformation); Localization: Pathways and Pitfalls (2003, with Institute for Studies in Asian Church and Culture); The Small Group Movement in the Philippines (2000, with The Bible League), and Conversion to Protestant Christianity Under Early American Rule: Some Intercultural Communication Problems (2000, with ISACC).
